Johanna Lakner

Johanna Lakner studied fashion in Vienna and then Fashion Design and Visual Merchandising in San Francisco. In 1998 she founded the fashion label ANNAHOJ, wich produces two collections a year since 2000. In addition to activities such as developing projects for Esprit Denim and Cloth Mind in Hong Kong and various types of art direction for advertising and film, Johanna Lakner has been working since 1999 in the Burgtheater and the Akademietheater in Vienna. She has worked as a costume assistant, for o.a. Andrea Breth and Frank Castorf and she was involved in the costumes for Anselm Kiefer’s Ödipus directed by Klaus Gruber. Since 2001 she works as costume designer for o.a. Igor Bauersima's Das Mass der Dinge (Salzburg Festival 2002) and for F.I.L.M. at Schauspielhaus Hannover, for Boulevard Sevastopol and Berenice de Moliere at the Akademietheater in Vienna and Mozartwerke GmbH at Burgtheater in Vienna. For the Dance Week 2007 in Vienna she designed Imbue with director Paul Wenninger. In Stuttgart in 2008 she designed the costumes for Rossini's Le Comte Ory and in 2009 Handels Teseo, both directed by Igor Bauersima. In the spring of 2009 designed for Carmen Brucic’s Symmetrien des Abschied. For the director of the Burgtheater Matthias Hartmann she created the costumes for the premiere of Faust –der Tragödie erster und zweiter Teil also in 2009.
