Matt Foley
The American Matt Foley started his dance training in Mechanicsville, Virginia. He graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in 2011, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Immediately after graduating, Foley joined Nederlands Dans Theater 2 as an intern. A year later, in 2012 he was accepted at the GöteborgsOperans Danskompani. Matt Foley has been dancing with Opera Ballet Vlaanderen since 2016, where he has participated in numerous productions, including several creations by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Daniel Proietto, Alan Lucien Øyen and Andonis Foniadakis, among others. He can also be seen in the music video I will fall for you by Cherkaoui and Woodkid. Foley has danced at various galas such as the International Ballet Star Gala in Taipei (2019) and the gala of the Prix Benois de la Danse in Moscow (2017). His most recent productions include Le Sacre du printemps (Pina Bausch), Palmos (Andonis Foniadakis), Half Life (Sharon Eyal) and Futur proche (Jan Martens).
