Wouter Deltour

Wouter Deltour is a Brussels-born music theatre maker, composer and pianist. His work bridges classical and contemporary music with music theatre, bringing together different musical approaches that complement and reinforce one another. Starting from a classical musical source, he combines acoustic and electronic music, existing compositions and original material, exploring new forms that preserve the unique character and strength of each musical language.

Together with director Tom Goossens, he founded DESCHONECOMPANIE after graduating. Deltour has collaborated with artists including Jesse Kanda, Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe and Cherish Menzo. With Meirhaeghe, he created Madrigals. He continues his artistic research with de Singel, Muziektheater Transparant and B’Rock as regular partners. His most recent production, Chapters of Celebration, is currently touring nationally and internationally.
