Yaiza Davilla Gómez

Dancer

The Spanish Yaiza Davilla Gómez studied classical ballet at the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Mariemma in Madrid. After completing her studies in 2009, she started her career at the Ballet de Teatres de la Generalitat in Valencia where she was active until 2014. Later that year she joined the Staatstheater Nürnberg under the direction of Goyo Montero. In 2016 she joined the Saarländisches Staatstheater in Saarbrücken, where she performed roles in choreographies by Stijn Celis, among others, until 2022.

Over the course of her career, she has danced works by Ohad Naharin, Nacho Duato, Jiří Kylián, Marco Goecke, Anna Konjetzky, Ramón Oller and Alexander Ekman, among others. From August 2022, Yaiza Davilla Gómez has danced in the company of Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, where she has appeared in productions such as Tempus Fugit by Johan Inger, One Flat Thing, reproduced by William Forsythe, Extant by Jermaine Maurice Spivey and Half Life by Sharon Eyal, among others.
