Children's Art Day

This year, Children’s Arts Day is all about being ‘crazy about art.’ And oh, how crazy we are about our art forms at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen! This edition, we’re inviting the whole (chosen) family. On Sunday, November 17, dive behind the scenes of Opera Gent with a guide. Discover who you might encounter during the preparations for the performance Barzakh. Still have energy after the tour? Take a seat at our workshop table and create your own word composition in no time—one that you can, of course, take home with you.

TOUR (+6)

The tour lasts approximately 30 minutes and can be booked for free at 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, or 11:30. This is a family activity, so we expect an adult to be present at each session.

During the tour, you’ll meet various team members who will tell or show you more about their roles in an opera production. It’s the perfect moment to ask all your questions. Who knows what production secrets you’ll discover?!

WORD PUZZLES

After the tour, everyone is welcome to join our workshop table. Sit, play, experiment, and create your own word compositions. Searching for just the right words or sounds is a puzzle that sometimes comes together faster than you might expect.
