James Waddell

James Waddell was born on the island of Bermuda. He began dancing at a very young age and started his professional training in London at the Central School of Ballet. After graduation, James moved to Spain to work for the Barcelona Ballet. Since joining the corps de ballet of the Royal Ballet of Flanders in 2012, he has danced a variety of styles such as classical ballets by John Cranko and Nikolai Fadeyechev as well as neoclassical works by Alexander Ekman, Christian Spuck and Nicolo Fonte. In Made Man, by Nicolo Fonte, James had the opportunity to dance one of five soloist roles. Besides dancing, James is always looking for opportunities to broaden his horizon by dabbling in a variety of hobbies ranging from outdoor pursuits to cooking.
