Lateef Williams

Lateef Williams was born in the United States and studied at The Academy of Dance and at the School of American Ballet in New York, among others. He has danced with various companies including Le Ballet de l'Opéra national du Rhin in Mulhouse, The Washington Ballet, the Kansas City Ballet, Ballet Augsburg, the Ballet National Chileno and the Ballet de Santiago in Chile. Since the 2017-'18 season he has been a member of the Opera Ballet Vlaanderen company, where he has danced in works by Daniel Proietto, Akram Khan, Andonis Foniadakis, Maurice Béjart, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, William Forsythe, Akram Khan, Andonis Foniadakis, and others. In 2019 he danced in the opera Rusalka directed by Alan Lucien Øyen. In 2022, he performed in productions including C(h)oeurs 2022 by Alain Platel and Palmos by Andonis Foniadakis. In 2023 he danced in the creations Extant (Jermaine Maurice Spivey) and New Ballet mécanique (Richard Siegal), amongst others.
