Marco Brambilla

Marco Brambilla is a Milan-born, New York City-based video installation artist, known for his elaborate re-contextualisations of found imagery. His works, shown at various international institutions, merge a new interpretation of video collage with technological and graphic innovations, creating multi-dimensional experiences on the screen.

His work has exhibited extensively at institutions in the United States and abroad; and his work belongs to the permanent collections of the Guggenheim Museum in New York, Museum of Modern Art in New York, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and he has been awarded the Tiffany Foundation and Colbert Foundation awards.

Brambilla studied film at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada subsequently directing feature films including the 1990s science fiction, action “Demolition Man.” In 1998, the artist shifted his focus to video and photography. Born in Milan, Italy, Brambilla currently lives and works between New York City, New York and Berlin, Germany.
