Morgana Cappellari

The Brazilian Morgana Cappellari was born in Curitiba and started her dance training in 1998 at the Escola de Dança Teatro Guaíra in Curitiba. She completed her studies at The HARID Conservatory in Florida, where she received the Rudolf Nureyev Foundation Award in 2005. From 2009 to 2017 she danced with the São Paulo Companhia de Dança, including works by William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Marco Goecke and Marius Petipa. In addition, she had the opportunity to perform roles in George Balanchine's Serenade and Theme and Variations, and in Marcia Haydée’s Don Quixote. Since 2018, Cappellari has been part of the Opera Ballet Vlaanderen company. Since then, she has appeared in various works by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, and has contributed to the world premiering creations The Heart of August...continued by Édouard Lock, Palmos by Andonis Foniadakis, Futur proche by Jan Martens and New Ballet mécanique by Richard Siegal.
