Opera, Ballet & Film: Galloping Mind
In collaboration with Studio Skoop, Opera Ballet Vlaanderen presents a captivating selection of films inspired by the operas and dance performances featured on their billboards. The film titles not only bridge connections to the themes and/or music of the staged works but also to the scenic concepts of the productions.
A pair of twins is separated at birth and raised in different worlds, with the boy growing up in a street gang and the girl in the middle class, until they meet and embark on a journey to discover their past. Galloping Mind marked the feature film debut of Belgian choreographer Wim Vandekeybus. His dance performance PUUR on violence against the innocent will be presented for the first time at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen in the spring of 2024.
