Join us for an enchanting fusion of music, opera and art at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp (KMSKA)!
A Pocket Orchestra, consisting of talented musicians from Opera Ballet Vlaanderens symphonic orchestra, creates a narrative concert in which the connection between opera and the beautiful works of art in the museum come to life. An immersive experience for the eye and ear, based on great, universal themes.
This musical evening focuses on contrarian artists and composers. Because art and music are not always well behaved. A Pocket Orchestra brings to life music by Satie, Hindemith and Shostakovich: composers who, like Magritte, Ensor or Panamarenko, dared to color outside the lines.
A guide takes you on a short, but powerful tour of art that was once labeled degenerate, strange or rowdy. Satire, absurdity and humor play the leading role, in sound and image.
Art that kicks against the shins and makes you smile. During this KMSKA LAAT evening, beauty, daring and playfulness go hand in hand.
