In Beestig Koper!, the brass players of Opera Ballet Vlaanderen bring a playful and surprising concert to life, entirely inspired by the world of animals.
The brass ensemble of Opera Ballet Vlaanderen is always a crowd favourite. With playful and characterful programmes, the company’s brass players effortlessly bridge the gap between the serious and the entertaining.
With Beestig Koper! they present a sparkling concert in which animals of all shapes, sizes and styles take centre stage. From Rossini’s famous Cat Duet to works by Aaron Copland and Eric Whitacre, well-known and lesser-known compositions come to life in a vibrant musical menagerie.
Along the way, a firebird flutters past, Woody Woodpecker gives chase, and you might even hear elephants wandering through the forest. This year, composer Steven Verhelst once again took on the challenge of creating a new work inspired by the animal theme.
Virtuosity, imagination and a generous dose of playfulness: the brass players of OBV treat you to pure musical animal delight.
