Spectacular vision of a world in free fall
'Choreographic fireworks', was the newspaper headline on the premiere of Hofesh Shechter's grandiose Grand Finale in 2017. The production was showered with awards, including creation of the year by the renowned tanz magazine. Shechter's In Your Rooms was previously presented by Opera Ballet Vlaanderen and that performance became an audience favourite. Now the renowned choreographer is finally returning. Especially for the OBV company, he is recreating his iconic Grand Finale with an even larger group of dancers. Part dance, part theatre, part concert – and completely original. Grand Finale is spectacular, daring and ambitious, and at the same time funny, moving and breathtakingly beautiful. The performance evokes a world in conflict with itself, full of anarchic energy and raw, explosive humour. Driven by an indomitable energy, Shechter unfolds a vision of a world in free fall, populated by an exceptional ensemble of dancers and a live band.

The performance contains loud music but never exceeds the allowed decibel standard. The average sound volume is 85 decibels, with occasional peaks of up to 95 decibels. Earplugs are available free of charge from our attendants.
