5 kilos of opera

As if it were the first day of school, composer Wim Henderickx is eager to get started with the rehearsals of The Converted. The new opera, based on the book by Stefan Hertmans, will have its world premiere on 10 May. But we're not there yet, because how do you make a new opera? Look over Wim's shoulder and feel how the hopeful tension shimmers through the room. The first tones have been set by conductor Koen Kessels, singers Lore Binon, Amel Brahim-Djelloul, Vicenzo Neri and the rest of the cast.
