Choreolab #11
the next movement

At the start of this season the freshly appointed artistic directors Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and his associate Tamas Moricz, decided to include pieces that have shown promise for development from last season's edition of ChoreoLab.
The young and gifted upcoming choreographers Andrew McNicol, Altea Nuñez and Ricardo Amarante will return to our choreographic laboratory to refine and develop their previous work. This year's participating dancers/choreographers of the Royal Ballet of Flanders can rely on the virtuosity and enthusiasm of their colleagues to perform and develop their new artistic ideas and as a bonus Mr Cherkaoui will show a sneak preview from his up-coming creation Pärt for the van Manen/Cherkaoui programme.
This year's ChoreoLab will be presented in two different programs, both evenings filled with the vision and ideas of these young creators of tomorrow. Under the watchful eye of associate artistic director Tamas Moricz, Royal Ballet of Flanders gives time, space, knowhow and manpower for experimentation to those members of the ballet that are willing to take their chance.
