Singers and orchestra members affiliated with Opera Ballet Vlaanderen treat you each month to a relaxing aperitif concert. Great works from the chamber music repertoire alternate with rarely performed pieces and forgotten gems. After each concert, there is an opportunity to chat with the musicians. One drink is included in the ticket for each concert.
Richard Strauss immortalized the trickster and free spirit Tijl Uilenspiegel, known from folk tales and Charles De Coster’s novel La légende d’Ulenspiegel, in a highly colourful symphonic poem. Musicians of Opera Ballet Vlaanderen present a virtuosic chamber music version of the work, Till Eulenspiegel einmal anders! by Franz Hasenöhrl. Beethoven’s infectious Septet in E-flat major and Robert Schumann’s Fantasiestücke, Op. 73, complete a programme full of bravura, lyricism and imagination.
