Well-deserved nominations by Dance Europe

The leading international magazine Dance Europe looks back this month, as is its annual custom, at the most outstanding dance productions, choreographers and dancers of last season.

The production Mozart/ Concert Arias is named in the category 'best premiere' of season 21/22. A beautiful and rightful recognition of the performance by our artist in residence, Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. According to Dance Europe, our dancers "brilliantly bring the work to life" and calls the evening "accessible, smart, well-crafted and, dare we say it, entertaining."

Our dancer Mikio Kato was also nominated in the "best performance by a male dancer" category. Mikio receives this accolade for his performance in the role of Hilaríon in the acclaimed production Giselle that was seen at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen in season 21/22. No small achievement as Dance Europe's reviewers naturally see hundreds of dancers perform each season.

Mikio is also part of the cast of Mozart/ Concert Arias which premieres in Antwerp on Oct. 9. So two more reasons not to miss this wonderful performance.
